It is an unbelievably gloomy Saturday. Although it's somewhat warm for late October, it is overcast and a steady rain has been falling since 5 am. Yes, 5 am. Without mentioning names, let me just say a certain canine had to tinkle very early this morning.
It is now 11:45 am and I am still in the sweats I slept in last night and I am on my fourth cup of coffee. My apartment could use some straightening and there is laundry to do, but I find myself curled up with a laptop and watching The Howling on AMC's "Monsterfest" which is running all day. One creepy movie after another is the perfect viewing recipe for a day like today. Glorious television to be consumed for hours on end. What a perfect lazy day it will be.
Tonight I am headed over my mom's for a family dinner with her, Jessie and Chris. I am very much looking forward to it for I miss my brother and sister even though I saw them just a week ago. Plus, the four of us aren't all together all that often really. We all see each other a lot, but it's usually in varying sets of three: all the girls; Chris, Jess and my mom; Chris, Jess and me -- you get the picture.
Okay, I vow I am actually going to put a stop to this laziness and do something productive. As soon as I sign off, I will go clean my kitchen and throw a load of laundry in the washer. Here I go...I'm really going to be productive now...no more sofa for me...getting a lot accomplished...snore.

Can I tell you how envious I am? We never get rain, and I never get to watch a movie by myself. By any chance to you watch the newer Chain Saw Massacre? Gosh, that movie scares the crap out of me. It sounds like you had the perfect day. I hope your grandma is doing better, and that you got a nice mental break.
AMC has been running the best scary movies lately.
OMG, I just remembered this... do you remember the night we went to see Werewolf in London? It was like night of freaky things. Some guy appeared out of nowhere walking on the side of the road and then some telephone pole was throwing off sparks as we drove by it. Me, you and your Mom!
