As the shoppers rush home with their treasures

It never fails. The earlier I begin shopping, the more I buy. For example, I could finish shopping for Jessica two weeks before Christmas and then I'll see things here and there and continue making purchases. This works out quite well for those I give gifts to! And since I only buy for a few people, I tend to go overboard. (Me? Go overboard with anything? Phooey!)

I have also gone overboard with my Christmas tree. I vowed I would not purchase anymore ornaments this year because it is stuffed already. But alas, I saw the cutest set of eight ornaments last weekend that begged to go home with me. It was only right to heed their wish -- it's Christmas after all!

So, yes, once again I have gotten carried away. With shopping, with decorating, with everything, really. Did you expect anything less?

My title is from Silver Bells.

You should see your BFF's Christmas tree... it looks like the North Pole exploded into a wondrous Christmas creation. I think there's a tree under all those ornaments though.

We are such kindred spirits. Guilty of the same two things. Every year I vow to not shop until a week before X-mas, as I always overdo it. And I never understand people who just put the "special" ornaments on their tree. Whore it up! I say.
