I took the day off today and at one point in my journey I had to visit the little girl's room. I walked up to a door, put my hand on it to push it open and realized it was the men's room. Upon the realization I noted in my head, "Duh, there's no dress." Meaning the little symbol on the door was wearing trousers.
Then I got my feminism up a bit thinking how absurd it is that the little woman's room symbol is in a dress. Why can't the door just read "women"? That stupid symbol is just a very small remnant of women being subjugated in a man's world, yet it is such an integral part of our culture that we barely realize it's there. The symbol may as well be barefoot, pregnant and cooking a hot meal for a man.
Anyhow, that's my rant for what it's worth.

Right on, woman.
i love you...but i so set women back....my ideal job is being the kid of mother who is...barefoot, pregnant, and in the kitchen...but please hold the skirts.
I am currently barefoot and pregnant - but I'm watching tv in the family room instead of cooking in the kitchen. Is this acceptable?
We all the the right to be barefoot and pregnant -- if we choose to be and are given choices!!! Love you guys for listening to my rant.
