Once upon a time, one of the five bedrooms in my mother's house was painted black and covered with posters of
The Sex Pistols, Joy Division and
The Cure.
Now, years later, it is a stunning room right out of a magazine spread. My mother's long quest to find every perfect piece for the room has finally been realized. I asked if I could move back in and she politely shook her head "no". Oh well, I can still enjoy by peeking in the door.
This headboard is a antique treasure. Mom once said every room in the home should house at least one antique. The black and toast toile bedding is g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s!
This bistro set is an amazing accent under the picture window. Who'd have thought to place a wrought iron bistro in a bedroom? Jo-Ann, that's who!

A floral runner adds a lovely touch to the flooring and leads one to the antique dresser.

Details are everything, darling. This antique plate adds a nice touch to the left-hand bedside table.

This black leather train case adds a nice dimension to the chest of drawers.

The right-hand side bed table. Jo-Ann found this amazing picture frame and struggled as to what photo to display. I suggested one of her favorite boy, her treasured dog, Harley.

Seriously, can you blame me for wanting to move back in this room? I love it. Hope you enjoyed a peek. And, don't forget to surround yourself with lovely things every day.

Your mom did an amazing job! I'm so interior decorating challenged! I love to see how other people put things together!
It's missing something... maybe a Chaplin movie poster? ;-)
Oh, my double Chaplin movie posters!!!! How I loved them!
gorgeous. Good to read your stuff. I had been absent for a while.
It's the perfect room. And toile is the best.
