Dreaming of Saffron Yellow

Friday night I nestled into my bed with an Agatha Christie book, with the TV turned low on QVC. Sometimes I leave the TV on just to have a bit of low-volume noise in the abode...it can get very quiet here.

I fall asleep at one point, wake a bit later and turn off the light, but I leave the TV on.

For the rest of the night, I dream of my dear Basset Hound, Saffron Darling. I wake up to use the bathroom, I fall back asleep and there is Saffy. She is with me all night long. It's the most I have ever dreamt of her.

Yesterday morning I was on the phone with my mother, as she was watching QVC, and I told her how I couldn't get the little bear out of my sleepy thoughts.

Do you watch QVC? If you don't this is the part of the tale where I have to inform you about the "Today's Special Value" feature. Every day one product is specially priced for a 24-hour period. It's talked about all day long.

It's during this phone call that the Today's Special Value, a handbag by designer B. Makowsky, is highlighted again for the umpteenth time since the prior midnight. The bag, which by the way was hot as hell, came in a variety of colors, including Saffron Yellow.

So it ended up since midnight, as I slept, QVC hosts spoke of this bag over and over and over again...running through the color options. And that is how the little bear crawled into my dreams.

And by the way, I sooooo bought one. In Saffron Yellow, of coarse.
