It's been ages since I've been to a concert. Primarily because they're so freaking expensive. Not to pull a "back in my day..." but when I was a teenager concert tickets were under $20 no matter who you were. Hair band, new wave group or whatever...tickets were affordable. Today you have to take out a mortgage to see some shows.
When I got to work today I had an email from my mom that contained a screenshot of an ad for an upcoming Duran Duran concert at the new casino in Atlantic City called Revel. Without a thought I hopped on the site and bought us a pair of tickets (yes, my mom is a big fan too!) And by today's standards they were (cough) affordable...$95 per ticket. What the hell, I loved them for 30 years now.
I wanted Barry Manilow tickets as well, but holy crap, they were $345 each!
And that's when I logged off the Revel site.
I'm blogging this week to titles inspired by 1980's movies. Today's title comes from The Breakfast Club.
