I'm rambling again...

It's really weird the way the weather can affect one's mood. Today has been dreary and chilly and I have done...well, not much of anything. I did some laundry, watched part of a "Monk" marathon (very funny show, by the way) and cooked. I love cooking. That may come as a surprise to some of you, but it's true. I wish I had someone to feed because it makes cooking more fun and I'd cook everyday if I could fill someone's tummy besides my own.

It's been a good weekend though. I went to PF Chang's with Diane Friday night. It was the first time in forever that she and I have spent quality time alone and could really catch up. We made fun of a lot of peeps too...one person in particular, but I'm not telling who.

Last night I was at my brother and sister-in-law's place and watched the Eagle's game with them. I love spending time with those two...they are seriously my most favorite people in the world. I am so lucky to have such a great relationship with Jessica. We've been close since she and Chris started dating over 10 years ago and our friendship has changed and grown and gotten stronger ever year since. I cannot imagine what it's like for people who don't have a good relationship with "in-law's." It must really stink.

Tomorrow is MLK day and I hate everyone who has off. Just thought I'd throw that in here.

I miss my car. I was in an accident and my car is getting fixed. It may take up to 10 business days. I have a free rental, but it's not the same. Plus, I left my best CDs in the backseat by accident.

My cousin, Elizabeth, explained to me how to post photos in these blogs, but I don't have any photos from the weekend to enhance this gem of a blog. Ahhh, I'll have lots from next Saturday though...it's sibling movie night! Should be loads of fun. Jess and Chris are having all their sibs...well, me and all Jess' sibs (6 of them) over for movies. As most of us are camera whores, I will have something good to post, I am sure.

Ugh...how is it already 7:21????

I wish we'd get a blizzard. Once every winter I pray for a huge storm. There is no cozier feeling than having a fridge full of yummy food, a pot of hot coffee, no work and curling up on the sofa as the snow falls and falls and falls. And Action News is on all day...the meteorologists go outside with their yard sticks and measure the snow in different areas of the region. And they always interview some jackass who drove to a Wa-Wa and gets their car stuck...or the person who drives on City Line Avenue and keeps spinning their wheels.

Ahhh, I love snow days now almost as much as I did as a kid. I remember many mornings sitting in my school uniform in my Mom's kitchen listening to KYW radio calling numbers...565, 566, 567...yeah!!!!!! (I don't remember my school number...I made that up for the dramatic effect.) Then Mom would make breakfast and I'd wear my uniform for a while longer, then put on sweats and go play in the snow. Adults don't play in the snow enough.

ummm ... I sure hope that "peep" wasn't me. Just checking. I thought maybe you threw that awesome-ly nice paragraph about me in there to throw me off. That is all.

ps - I love you too.

pps - add pictures from Holiday Horror Night, Christmas & New Year - those were good times!
