This crazy beast is my "niece", Maggie. My brother and sister-in-law adopted her this summer from a girl they went to high school with. She had to give Maggie up, for housing reasons if I remember correctly, and Jess and Chris decided to add to their family. Maggie is awesome, but she is very fresh. In that way, she reminds me of my dog, Saffron, who was a terribly destructive puppy. Saffron probably destroyed close to $800 worth of things in her first two years. I think Mags is trying to usurp Saffron's title.
Last night I went to my mom's for dinner. Jess and Chris came too and so did Mags. Maggie loves going to my mom's because she has a very large fenced in yard and she can run and also play with my mom's dog, Harley. Maggie is the fastest and most graceful runner I have ever seen. We think she part greyhound and that would totally account for her running ability. Harley loves her, but he's five years old and tires a bit faster than she does. He loves Saffron too, but she's too old for him to play with. He needs a nice blend of the two girl dogs.
As you can tell, Miss Maggie is going to be a hotdog for Halloween. She loves her costume and I can report has only ripped the "mustard" off once during a dress rehersal for the big day...it's so Maggie!

My kid shares her name with more dogs. We call her "Mags", too. That is the cutest dog, and her costume is great.
BRILLIANT use of lyrics (and poor poor dog).
Trust me Liz - she deserves far worse than being made to wear a hotdog costume!
The worst part - that brat actually liked the costume! ;-)
