Red, ripe and ready...

Wow, that sounds pretty dirty. However, it's the tagline on Wegman's brand crushed tomatoes. I was just in the pantry searching for pasta and noticed that for the first time. I felt a little dirty.

If there's a Wegman's anywhere near you, I highly recommend you begin shopping there. I travel like 20 minutes to get to one in Mt. Laurel because it's that awesome. They have all sorts of cool international food, an amazing seafood extravaganza and an olive bar that would send my cousin Liz into cardiac arrest. (I hate olives, but admire the olive bar on my cousin's behalf.)

It's only 11:15, but I'm making pasta. I was going to look for a breakfat item but decided I wanted to gorge on crushed red pepper and garlic. That doesn't work well with French toast, you know. So I'm doing breakfast Italiano style and watching the SciFi channel...life is good.

I swear, we are kindred spirits. I would want any kind of pasta (and sushi and ice cream) for my last meal. Seven years ago, Scot had a conference in Mt. Laurel and I found that store while I was out driving around. We were staying at a hotel right across from the Marlton 8. Anyhow, I was just barely pregnant, and craving pasta. So, I went in there, bought San Marzano tomatoes and pasta. I also hit Trader Joe's. Then I went back and sat on the couch gorging on it all. Good for you.

Hehe... just this morning I was grocery shopping there and one of the things I got was a big can of their crushed tomatoes. I agree it definitely is the best food store.
