I love learning about history. There are certain eras which interest me much more than others, including medieval Europe, the Kennedy assassination, and the Cold War. But no time intrigues me more than World War Two.
There is something so sadly romantic about that era. I can totally envision myself rolling my hair into those intricate styles, drawing lines up the back of my legs because of the silk shortage and my lack of stockings, and going to USO dances.
As yesterday was Memorial Day I thought I'd be able to overdose on World War Two documentaries, but that was not the case. All I got to see all weekend was one episode of Ken Burns' The War on Sunday night.
So instead I spent the past few days humming Moonlight Serenade and dreaming of dancing with my soldier.
