The lovers, the dreamers and me

In the midst of a lengthy phone conversation last night, the subject of The Rainbow Connection by the great Kermit the Frog came up. I did my best to serenade Andrew with my musical talents, but alas, I could remember all of the words.

This is possibly the greatest song ever written. Yes, a stuffed frog is the crooner, but have a listen and try to argue. Chances are you cannot.

Enjoy!

It's funny, but that was the first song Scot and I introduced Maggie to. We used to dance in our living room with her in our arms. It makes me cry every time I hear it.

My sister Karen and I repeatedly watched the Muppet Movie when she was young. It's got great memories for me.

As a freaky side note, I just finished watching an episode of Las Vegas and at the closing credit music was Willie Nelson singing "the lovers, the dreamers, and me".

I have an actual list of songs that made me cry as a child. This one is at the top. Btw I was reading your friend Toni's blog and I love that she has on there the Weeds clip that brought the word "yowza" back into my everyday vocabulary.
