It ain't fair how we scrounge for three or four bucks...

Today I realized I had zero cash on me and I should go to a MAC. But wait! I have a few checks rattling around my handbag -- I'll go to the bank across the street and cash them.

Three checks equalling just under $80.

I endorse them and write my account number on them and pull up to the drive-through.

TD Bank lady: What do you want to do with these?

Me: What?

TD Bank lady: There's no deposit slip.

Me: I don't want to deposit them. I want to cash them.

TD Bank lady: All of them?

Me: Yes, all three of them.

Now I'm beginning to wonder if cashing three checks at once is too taxing for a teller. Do people not cash checks anymore?

TD Bank Teller: Can you please verify your date of birth?

Me: Blah, blah, 1972.

Seriously? All this for three checks that total $80? You would have thought I was not a TD Bank customer attempting to cash a check from a foreign bank for $10,000.

Hi folks! It's Blogger Challenge week again! This time Cousin Elizabeth and I are blogging to the musical, Annie!
