It's Saturday night - 9:21 pm. I am laying in my bed with my laptop and watching Saving Private Ryan.
I met Diane for breakfast this morning and we had a chance to catch up. I've known Diane for 21 years - we met when we were 14 and began high school. She is simply amazing. After breakfast we went to Target where I spent almost $50 on miscellaneous items such as dog food and dog treats, tissues, detergent, blah, blah, blah. Then we came back to my place and hung out for a while. All very exciting stuff.
Around 5 pm I got the bright idea to rip my apartment apart and clean like a mother fucker. I hate when I decide to do crap like this. So there I am, standing on a chair in my kitchen, vacumming the top of my kitchen cabinets. I do not know where this obsession with cleanliness came from. I was not always like this. I have always been organized and cleanly, but I have become a maniac.
(Saving Private Ryan moment -- Private Wade just died as he cried for his mother. This movie is SO sad.)
Tomorrow my brother and sister-in-law are taking her 16-year-old brother to visit Rowan University. All three of us went there for undergraduate degrees and he has shown interest in the school. I am very excited to take him on a tour, as I really liked my school. I miss being in college -- seriously miss it. I love the whole learning environment and the very idea of education. My favorite classes were ones that I had very little knowledge of before I took them -- like photography. I mean, I knew how to take a picture, but I never developed film before and understood things such as depth of field and whatnot. I also loved studying film (movie film, that is) because I had a MASSIVE crush on Dr. Coletta, my film professor. He reminded me of Tommy Lee Jones. Ahhh, I'm blushing just thinking about him.
(Saving Private Ryan moment -- German soldier just said "Fuck Hitler.")
