When you name your dog after a spice, you find yourself looking at spice jars often to see if you can get cute little things with her name. Well, maybe you wouldn't, but I do. The problem is this, Saffron is one of the most expensive spices in the world so most people do not purchase it in quantities that could fill a spice jar.
I have had Saffy for 12 1/2 years and have never found anything with her name on it. Chives, Rosemary and Cloves are in abundance, but no Saffron. Until now.
My mom found a website dedicated to retired china and on it she found a Saffron spice jar which she surprised me with for my birthday. I seriously screamed. Best Mom ever.

we have saffron at school and they hide it and you have to ask for it then they ration it out to you! it's insane!!! it makes rice look really purdy though!
